How Much Does House Cleaning Cost in Clearwater?

Real Clearwater ranges for a recurring clean, a first deep clean, and a move-out — plus the four things that move the number more than square footage does.

$120-$200 Typical biweekly visit
$250-$450 First deep clean
2-3x Move-out vs routine

A recurring clean on a typical Clearwater home runs roughly $120 to $200 a visit. A first deep clean is usually $250 to $450, and a move-out lands at two to three times a routine visit. Square footage sets the floor. What moves the price is condition, frequency, and how much of the house is glass, tile, and grout.

What the ranges cover

A recurring visit is maintenance: floors, surfaces, kitchen, bathrooms, and dusting on a home already in reasonable order. The deep clean at the start exists because that condition has to be created first — baseboards, inside appliances, grout lines, door tracks, and the accumulated film routine work never reaches. Most companies quote it separately for that reason, and a quote that skips it either buries the cost in the first few visits or leaves the work undone.

The four things that move the number

  • Frequency. Weekly costs less per visit than biweekly, and biweekly less than monthly, because less has rebuilt between visits. Monthly service often prices close to a light deep clean.
  • Bathrooms, not bedrooms. A three-bed two-bath and a three-bed three-bath are different jobs. Bathrooms carry the labor.
  • Hard water. Pinellas water leaves scale on glass and fixtures that takes time and acid to shift. A house with heavily scaled shower enclosures prices above its square footage every time.
  • Sand and salt air. Beach-side homes track grit that dulls floors and settles on horizontal surfaces faster. Proximity to the water is a real line item, not a surcharge.

Hourly, flat rate, or per visit

Flat-rate quoting after a walkthrough is the most predictable for a homeowner and the most common here. Hourly can be cheaper for a small tidy and considerably more expensive for a first clean, because nobody knows in advance how long grout will take. Ask which model a quote uses and what happens if the job runs long. The answer to the second question tells you more than the rate does.

Why quotes differ so much for the same house

The spread usually comes down to insurance, whether the crew is employed or subcontracted, and whether supplies are included. A quote materially below the local range is generally missing one of those, and the risk transfers to you if somebody is hurt in your home. Ask for proof of general liability, and ask whether the same team returns each visit — continuity matters more for quality than most people expect.

When you do not need us

A one-bedroom condo kept in good order does not need professional biweekly service, and we will tell you so. The clearest value sits in homes with the conditions above — heavy glass, scaled fixtures, high traffic, beach exposure — or in households where the time is worth more than the fee. A quote should tell you honestly which one you have.

What a standard clean usually excludes

Most quotes cover the interior surfaces you touch daily. The items below are commonly priced as extras, and disagreements almost always happen here rather than over the base rate:

  • Inside the oven and inside the refrigerator
  • Interior windows beyond a spot clean, and any exterior glass
  • Laundry, dishes left in the sink, and putting belongings away
  • Garages, lanais, and screened porches
  • Wall washing, ceiling fans above reach, and light fixtures needing disassembly

None of that is unreasonable to add. It simply needs saying before the crew arrives, because a team scheduled for three hours cannot absorb another ninety minutes without the next customer paying for it.

Availability shifts with the season. From January through March the snowbird influx tightens every crew's calendar, and a first deep clean books out further than a recurring slot does. If you want a particular weekday held, arrange it before the season rather than during it.

Deposits, cancellations, and access

Recurring service here is usually billed per visit with no deposit. First deep cleans sometimes carry one, because the time block is large and hard to refill. Expect a cancellation window of 24 to 48 hours and expect a charge inside it, since the crew was paid for the day either way. Access matters more than people anticipate: a lockbox or door code costs nothing and removes the most common reason a visit gets rescheduled, which is nobody home and no way in.
