Retired couples in modest block houses are who call most often up here — biweekly, sometimes monthly, same two bathrooms and a galley kitchen every visit. Beacon Square built this place in the sixties and the bones show: early-seventies tile, original caulk, grout that went gray a long time ago. That's fine. It just means the recurring work is scrub work more than picking up clutter.
The other steady piece is turnover. Estate cleans and move-outs come through constantly, usually arranged by a son or daughter living out of state who has never seen the inside of the house. We handle those start to finish and send photos when we're done.
What an older Holiday house actually needs
Do you follow the rules at Gardens of Beacon Square or Aloha Gardens?
Yes. We keep to posted hours, park in the driveway rather than on the street, and don't leave equipment out front while we work.
Can regular cleaning stop the mildew coming back every summer?
It slows it down a lot. On a biweekly schedule we stay ahead of it, but if the caulk itself is stained through, cleaning won't fix that — it needs replacing.
