Old houses under old oaks. That's the job here. The 1950s and 60s block homes down near the water have original tile, deep window sills, and jalousie-era details that hold dust in ways newer construction doesn't, so we clean them slower and with fewer harsh products. Toward Enterprise Road and the Countryside line the houses are bigger and newer, which usually means more floor and more bathrooms rather than more difficulty. We're about fifteen minutes out from Clearwater on Main Street, so a same-week schedule change is rarely a problem.
February through April is pollen season on this side of the bay. Lanais off Philippe Park way turn yellow-green within a day of a wipe-down, and if you're on a weekly plan we'll keep after the sills and screen door tracks instead of pretending one pass fixed it. Plenty of our work here came from a neighbor mentioning us at the farmers market. That cuts both ways, and we know it.
How we work around Safety Harbor's older homes
Can you clean around original terrazzo and tile floors?
Yes. We use neutral-pH cleaner and damp mopping on terrazzo and older ceramic instead of anything acidic or abrasive, which is what dulls those floors over time. Tell us what's original and we'll note it on your file.
Is weekly overkill, or should I do every other week?
Weekly makes sense here more often than not, mostly because of oak pollen and bayfront humidity. If you're inland toward Enterprise Road with no lanai, biweekly usually holds fine. We'll tell you honestly after the first clean.
